Wonderful list, Gary! My foreign film knowledge, while slightly better than adequate, is woefully lacking in so many ways. This gives me a whole new list to check out. (God, I love lists! LOL)

You’ve got some great ones in there, Simon, and many that I was pissed I had to leave off. FAR FROM HEAVE, THE GOOD GERMAN, THE LORD OF THE RINGS and ODNA (superb choice!) to name a few. How could I leave these off?!

Happy to be complementary and complimentary. I really enjoy Shostakovitch’s film music, his Hamlet score is one of my favorites (but not above Hoosiers, Hatari and Hangover Square!).
